UK-based provider of image technology, Image Metrics, received a first round of funding in the form of a private placement equalling 4.3 million euros. Investors included Saffron Hill Ventures, MC Capital Group (a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corp.) and a technology fund managed by Close Brothers Investment.
The company, which provides imaging technology to the security, medical and media sectors had raised an oversubscribed interim round of 814,00 euros in February.
A little over a year old, it is receiving executive support from Steven Edwards, a founder of Geneva Technologies who led its $692 million sale to Convergys in April 2001. |
