Energetix, the North West-based intellectual property firm developing renewable energy technology, is drawing up plans to float on Aim later this year.
The company is understood to be seeking City advisers to bring it to the market later this year. Observers believe that a floatation could put a value of up to £10m on the firm.
Energetix has signed deals with a number of partners including the University of Manchester and BNFL. It hopes to identify and develop renewable and energy-efficient technologies – such as fuel cells, micro-turbines and photo-voltanic cells – in partnership with firms.
A floatation would be a huge boost to shareholders in Axiomlab, the Aim-listed incubator. It owns a 40 per cent stake in Energetix, which it acquired last year for £625,000. |
