Image Metrics Manchester, U.K.-based Image Metrics plc has announced the completion of a £550,000 ($780,000) interim round of financing that it expects will precede a £3 million second round to be completed by the end of the month. The company will use the fresh capital to develop its imaging technology used for various security applications. Founded in 2000, Image Metrics previously raised venture capital from London-based investment company Axiomlab plc and Acorn Capital Partners in November 2000.
