Six Figure Base plus Carried Interest

 

Early Stage & Development Stage Technology Fund

 

This is a rare opportunity to lead a new £50m fund, which is aiming to take advantage of the potential in early stage technology in the UK and Irish market. The fund will be used for seed corn, main round and investment management funding.

 

The Role:

 

- Reporting to the Chief Executive, responsible for the overall performance of the fund and its investments.

 

- Originating, leading and closing deals across a number of vertical markets.

 

- Mentoring, monitoring and exit planning for the investments.

 

- Building relationships with large institutional investors, venture capitalists, professional services firms and banks.

 

- Working closely with referral and technology partners to generate deal flow, exploit co-investment opportunities and find exits. 

 

- Fundraising for both the fund and portfolio companies.

 

The Candidate:

 

Technically strong, FSA approved, investment professional with extensive experience of early stage/technology companies and a robust network of relevant contacts.

 

- “Rainmaker” with a demonstrable track record of creating value.

 

- Creative, innovative and entrepreneurial – able to think outside the box.

 

- Able to provide pragmatic assistance and guidance to the portfolio companies.

 

- Exemplary communicator, with the presence and stature to command respect from colleagues, advisors and stakeholders and the integrity and intellectual rigour to impress the venture capital and broader investment community.
